Privacy and analytics
We use limited website analytics to understand how public transparency portals are used and which approximate areas their visits come from.
Information collected
Google Analytics records portal page views, the portal identifier, a browser or device identifier, and coarse geographic labels such as country, region, and city. Geography is approximated from the network address used for the request. This service does not request your device's GPS location or collect precise coordinates.
How the information is used
We use aggregate counts to measure unique browser or device visits, total portal views, and regional distribution. Google processes the analytics events for this purpose. The application does not store raw visitor IP addresses, and the daily BigQuery archive contains the geographic labels produced by Google Analytics rather than raw IP data.
Retention and limitations
User-level and event-level data in Google Analytics is configured for 14-month retention. Daily event exports may be retained in BigQuery for longer-term aggregate reporting. Analytics counts represent browsers or devices, not verified individuals, and may exclude visitors who block or disable analytics.
